About Me

My name is Juanita Harris. I am a Poet and Freelance Writer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've been writing for several years. I began writing poetry in my adolescent years, shortly after my parents were divorced. I consider writing to be my greatest outlet from the harsh realities of life. It is my one and only way of escaping and releasing my soul.

My first published poem was titled, These are the Hands, and appeared in a local community newspaper here in Philadelphia. Currently, I am awaiting the release of my debut poetry collection titled, RIP-Rejection, Inspiration & Peace, which will be on the market on March 30th 2008
